Well, mostly I’ve been worrying so much I don’t get anything done, but other than that I’ve been feeling pretty dejected and disappointed. I mean, the way that some of the world has been handling the pandemic has been less than stellar. I’m just so disappointed that there are people in our society that just don’t care enough about other people to practice social distancing. Human beings are actually dying and we could help stop it but people just… don’t want to, they’d rather go to the beach and potentially kill people, then stay at home and be bored. Maybe it was foolish of me, but I expected a lot more from our society in a time of crisis.
Hello Emily! Nice observations on the Painter, especially notating what he might have wanted from them - aka funds for a studio.
I really share your feelings of disappointment and dejection; I have been feeling that a lot too. It is ok to give yourself a little space to worry and then get that work done when you are feeling more emotionally resilient. I think we are all doing that in some ways. But I have faith that your creativity will be raging again soon.
