1. Who was your favorite character and why? Three sentences
My favorite character is Rapuzal. Not just because she’s already my favorite princess, but also because her story line in this play closely follows the original grimm fairy tale. I like her struggle with wanting to see the world, but not knowing how to go about it.
2. Which Actor did you like the best and why? Three sentences
The movie had Meryl Streep andJohnny Depp, is it even possible to pick a favorite? I loved Meryl Streep in The Post, and I didn’t even know that Johnny Depp could sing, like what! As always, they nailed their parts.
3. Where was a moment you felt like you could see an actor trying to get what their character wanted? What verbs did they use? Two sentences and 3 verbs
In the end after the death of the Baker's Wife and a bunch of other people. Everyone is blaming, attacking and threatening each other.
4. What moment in the story resonated with you the most and why? Three sentences
The part where the witch told them off for not taking responsibility for their actions. It just seems so raw, like she’s suffered too but she’s not blaming them. When she melts into tar, it sent shivers down my spine.
Rapunzel has always been my favorite character from Into the Woods as well. But for my favorite fairy tales, I have always like the 12 dancing Princesses the best. Something about the world below. But you really articulated a strong want for Rapunzel; to see the world. Nice analysis on that.
