The Outsider is a character that can break the fourth wall, she makes at least a small appearance in most of the stories I write and she’s a super interesting character. She was originally just a tool I used to see if a character’s action made sense by having her criticize it, but she became a really important character to me and my main story line. In her monologue she’ll be talking about the first time she visited our world and how different it is from her home world. She falls in love with this world, but is worried that we will destroy it.
Hello Emily! This sounds really interesting and I look forward to watching you bring it to life. I only ask to be sure that when she is talking in her monologue, she is talking TO someone. So as long as we are not hearing her inner thoughts or a diary entry, but she is actually speaking to someone or a group, I think this will be just lovely. I love this idea a lot! It makes me think of the Endless and Neil Gaiman's work in a good way. I wonder, do you know his writing? You might love it.
